Ok, I just bought a 2000 Dakota V-8, club cab. I absolutely love the thing. The only problem I had is that part of my bug shield blew off while I was driving. The piece that goes over the left headlight came off and I couldn't recover it. My question is, will I be able to purchase just this piece? Or do I have to buy a whole new one? The bug shield is a GTO, but when I tried to search for it on the net, guess what came up? Lol. Does anyone else have GTO parts for your dakota or know what the letters stand for. I'm trying to see if they have a website that I can check to see whether I can buy that part of the bug shield. I'm thinking that I probably can't, I'd have to buy a whole new shield, but whatever. I fig'd I'd at least look and see. Thanks!

I know this probably isn't any help, but I've lost 2 of those deflector pieces on the highway already. They attach with velcro. I just took them off and left the one on the hood, that is attached with the screws. Having said that, you should be able to purchase just the side peices, because I was able to with mine, but I don't have a "GTO" brand.
It's very common to lose those.

Actually thats alot of help. I'm prolly not gonna bother going out and buying it again if its just gonna come off. It doesn't look bad b/c I took the other one off when the first one came off. I just left the center one as well. But yea, I might just not bother then. Thanks man.

I have the three piece Lund on my truck which is held by 3M tape and I haven't had any problems. So if you can't buy just the side piece I recommend it. Just be sure to clean the area where you are going to attach it with the alcohol soaked pads that are included with it.

ive got a 2003 quad 4x4 an i put a "Autoventshade Bug deflector II" on my truck and i found that one to fit and look the best (held on by 3M tape...looks great

why don't you just go to your local dealer and buy the ones that fit correctly!
