Truckin' Nationals 2003
Firebird Raceway, Phoenix Arizona
October 11-12, 2003

More details at www.firebirdraceway.com or www.truckinationals.com

Drag Racing, Show n Shine, Toughest Truck Competition, Lots of Vendors, Bikini Contest, etc.

This event has been the biggest Dakota R/T gathering on the west coast (aside from the Tucson nats) for the last two years, with at least 25-35 Dakotas in attendance racing against a bunch of Lightnings and other trucks.

I posted a previous note about hotel rooms - only one person expressed interest in pre-paying for the room to get the discount, so I don't think the group registration discount will go through, so everyone can just make their own reservations whenever they want at regular price. Traditionally most of us stay at the Super 8 motel in Chandler AZ which is just down the road from the track. Their contact info is 480-961-3888 & http://www.the.super8.com/chandler03073.

Event cost is $50.00 for both days. Additional passes for spectators are $32.00 for both days. Single day passes are available, prices are listed on their website. If you pre-register through me the group receives a $15.00 discount ($35 entry fee). PLEASE e-mail me ASAP if you plan to attend so I can put you on the group list and send you registration information.

By the way, I live and work a couple of miles from firebird. If anyone needs anything in the area, let me know, I might be able to help out.

ALSO - I don't know if there are any golfers or golf fans out there, but one of the best courses in the state is directly across the street from the track. This same weekend, they are hosting a Nationwide Tour event, which is one step below the PGA tour. Might be a good place for the R/t guys to hang out while the 4.7 guys are trying to break 15.00 ;) J/k!!!
