Subject: water in front diff. oil
IP: Logged

Message:
I changed my front differential oil for the second time in 55,000 miles and found water in the old oil. I do not off-road and have not been in any deep water so have to assume it is coming in around the cheap rubber fill plug during very heavy rain while driving. If you have diff problems and they find water in the oil, DC assumes you have been in very deep water and probably won't warranty it.

Has anyone else had this problem? I have put sealer around the plug now to see if that will eliminate the problem.
