ive got a 2000 and all i had to do was pull it... or use a pannel puller.. its just clips

yeah, if you do a search, there is post someplace exactly how to do it, but it is just a few screws and a bunch of clips......not a big deal. However, depending on the fit and finish of your truck, I've heard alot of people get dash squeeks and rattles after they remove/replace the dash.
Just FYI.
