 Subject: tire warranty

I was inspecting my tires on my 2003 QC 4.7 v8 3.92 and I noticed that my sidwall on my passenger front side has 2 slight indentations when your rub your hand around it. Goodyear 255/65/16 factory tires.
I have 3200 miles on my truck. Is it a bad steel belt? the dealer should replace this tire right?

The indentations to feel are the ends of the layers of rubber which make up the sidewall. If you take a sheet of paper and roll it so the bottom meets the top you will see it overlaps and this is what you are noticing. This is not a defect in most cases.

Compare yours to others or ask a Goodyear store for a quick look if you are still concerned.
