 Subject: Power seat function not working

I have a 99 SLT CC with a power drivers seat. The function that allows the back portion of the seat to go up and down is not working. Everything else works except for that one function. I am not talking about the seat back, I mean the back of the part you're sitting on. I don't even know how this thing works, so any information I could get would be great. Thanks very much.

Mine went out while under warranty and the dealer replaced the entire seat assy, not the cushions but the carriage under the cushions
