Ah the oil companys are in their "rip U off mode" again . I just filled my Dak last night and it's $ 1.64 at the Citgo station I use. But prices range from 1.60-1.72 a gallon for regular here in Vero beach Fl . Whats it up to in your area?

This morning it is $1.72
(Rochester, NY)
So, what's pushing it up this time, and why isn't the cost of motor-oil, grease, plastics, etc. going up also?

FU@!&#@ $2.05 a gallon for reg unleaded 87. We had that pipeline brake in between tucson and phoenix. It was 2.49 a gallon for reg 87 the day after the pipe broke, some place downtown phx were charging $4.00 a gallon for 87.

1.80 in Central WV. Up from 1.50 for 87 octane last time filled up. Wait till after Labor Day and it will probably start easing up somewhat. Usually does after holiday.

$1.57 here in St. Louis area. Cheapest place, some are still up around $1.68. Thats f'n crazy. Oil shortage my ass...if we woulda taken the damn iraqi oil like we shoulda they couldnt make up excuses like that.

I'm in the phoenix area, so i know what high gas prices are like.
Now, that the shortage has setteled, it's only $2.09 a gallon. But i saw $2.50 3 or 4 days ago.

1.60s from west to east Montana
Wyoming was also about 1.40 for 85 and 1.45 for 88. Not bad since my truck can run 85.
Denver ranges from 1.40s in the North sections and 1.69 in the South sections. WTF??
Park City/Ogden were about 1.72 or high 1.60s.
Idaho was about high 1.60s too.
I just drove 2500 miles last week is why I know, heh.

The oil companies will find any "possible" excuse to raise the prices. It's one of those this might happen ideas so let's jack up the price now. The price for reg. here at North CA is running $2.13.

Alright, i'm not sayin my gas is the most expensive, but it is the most rediculous. I live in Soldotna, Alaska. The oil is drilled and sent to a refinery about 20 miles down the road from me. You would think it would be cheap...Nope! 1.92 for 87!! It's regoddamndiculous...

Don't know about other areas but it sounds like the same is true. Around here I have noticed that every time it gets close to a holiday the gas prices start edging up slowly at first then as the holiday gets closer they soar. Then usually after the holiday they begin to slowly drop again although they seldom drop back to what they were before.
Each time they blame it on shortages. This is a game the oil companies have been playing for years in order to get us used to paying the higher prices and then when everyone starts to really complain they drop it back a bit but never to where it was but enough to let us think we gained something. If something ever needed controlled it is the oil companies, but not by the government cause the oil companies already control the government. JUST MY OBSERVATIONS
