Message: Germany prices: about 5.00 Euro/gallon on the economy, $2.65 on post. If you buy it off post, works out to about $90.00 (depending on the exchange rate) from empty to full.

Message: Okay, I'm gonna pi$$ everyone off today. I was in Newberry South Carolina this weekend visiting some friends. Filled up yesterday (Sunday) to come back to Kentucky and paid a whopping $2.30 per gallon (87 octane). The sad part is...we think we are getting a bargain at that price.

Message: I just took a road trip from SC to Tampa, FL. I don't know if it was Katrina that drove up prices. When I stopped in Lake City, FL on I-75 I about went postal, Prem. was $2.99!!! I drove a mile further down the road and it dropped to $2.84, some of those gas station owners need to be shot. You can't tell me it costs the Shell next to the interstate $.15 more for his gas than the Shell a mile or two down the road. The cheapest I found prem. in FL was $2.77. Sad thing is when I got home to SC $2.54 didn't seem that bad. It sucks that there is nothing that we can do to stick it to the oil companies. They know they have us all by the balls. Oil could be $90 a barrel and all we could do is bitch, but we'd still all pay for it. The fact that gas has gone up a $1 in the last year is stupid. We should take over the middle east and make gas a decent price again. Not that that would help because then some greedy Trump SOB would screw that up. Now I feel a little better for spending $250 on a 800mi road trip, not much though.

Message: If you live in Germany you get socialized medicine, subsidised housing, subsidized jobs etc. In America we don't and I'm not saying we should either, but Europe pays their energy bills because of taxes imposed by their government, which in turn gives it back to the people on some level or another. We're getting screwed right now by oil speculators is all that is happening.
That said, Wickenburg Arizona gas prices are about $2.85/gal for regular, about 3.02 for premium. Depends whether or not you buy gas "in town" or in the "unincorporated area" about 3 miles "out of town".

Message: These prices are total b.s.. Every time the wind blows more then 5 mph, the prices are getting jacked up. I don't get why people aren't raising hell, these high prices are gonna kill our economy (i.e. people don't shop because they can't afford to drive to the store, they stop buying cars, etc.).
I saw an e-mail going around today, that had a list of all of the gas stations and where they import most of their oil from. The point was Exxon Mobile (for instance), imports almost all of their oil from Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia pretty much boycotts all good from the U.S., so why would we buy their gas? BP on the other hand doesn't import any oil from Saudi Arabia, so if you buy from BP, you are kind of sticking it to the Saudi's! The e-mail was probably circulated by someone from BP but even still, I would rather not be Saudi Arabia's b*t%h any more then I have to!

WHERE TO BUY YOUR GAS,
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW.
READ ON
Why didn't George W. think of this?
Gas rationing in the 80's worked even though we grumbled about it.
It might even be good for us!
The Saudis are boycotting American goods.
We should return the favor.
An interesting thought is to boycott their GAS.
Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia. Just buy from gas companies that don't import their oil from the Saudis.
Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends.
I thought it might be interesting for you to know which oil companies are the best to buy gas from and which major companies import Middle Eastern oil :
Shell............................. 205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco......... 144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil............... 130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway... 117,740,000 barrels
Amoco............................62,231,000 barrels
If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! We're now at $53+ a barrel.
Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil:
Citgo.......................0 barrels
Sunoco.................0 barrels
Conoco.................0 barrels
Sinclair.....................0 barrels
BP/Phillips............0 barrels
Hess........................0 barrels
ARCO.......................0 barrels
All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and each is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing.
But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers.
It's really simple to do.
Now, don't wimp out at this point... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!
I'm sending this note to about thirty people.
If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers!
If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted!
If it goes one level further, you guessed it ..... THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!
Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people.
How long would all that take?
If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next eight days!
(I don't like chain e-mail, but I think this is worth while)

Nothing is more frustrating to me than the feeling that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends. It turns out that some oil companies import a lot of middle eastern oil and others do not import any. I thought it might be interesting for Americans to know which oil companies are the best to buy their gas from.
Here is the list:
Top 4 companies that import middle eastern oil (for the period 9/1/00 - 8/31/01). By the way, 86% of all middle eastern oil comes from Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
Shell 205,742,000 barrels of oil
Chevron/Texaco 144,332,000
Exxon/Mobil 130,082,000
Marathon 117,740,000

Here are some large companies that do not import much Middle Eastern oil:
Citgo 0 barrels of oil
Sunoco 0
Conoco 0
Sinclair 0
Phillips 0
BP Amoco 62,231,000
All this information is available from the Department of Energy and can be easily documented. Refineries located in the U.S. are required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing. They report on a monthly basis.
