If I recall, during bush's reelection bid, he said if kerry got elected, people would be paying an arm and a leg for gasoline. Since then, gas as gone up an arm and a leg, that lying sob.

Bush Sucks!!!!!!! NO WAY!!!

If Gore in 2000 or Kerry in 04 would have been elected the price would have gone up faster and it would be higher. Also why don't you quit B!tching about the pres (Dem or Repub) when it is congress and senate that has a bigger direct effect on your pocket book. Put the blame where it belongs.

I see the 2006 Ram will be the first pickup to offer cylinder deactivation. They say it will improve fuel economy up to 20 percent. Is this only availible on the Hemi? Will the Dak get this technology? If not, I would think the bigger Ram will actually end up getting better MPG then the Dak.

With Regular Gasoline approaching $3 per gallon it is a good time to think about ways to increase fuel economy (mpg).

FUEL ECONOMY a.k.a. MPG

Fuel economy can be very difficult for the consumer to accurately gauge. If you fill up at a warmer part of the day one week compared to the previous week you can sometimes see a huge fluctuation in MPG just based on that. Also, the pump may have stopped pumping sooner this week compared to last, making it "seem" like you used less (or more) gallons of fuel.

It has been proven by Amsoil (and other leading oil manufacturers and suppliers) through use of industry accepted fuel economy tests, field demonstrations (and as witnessed by most of our customers), that switching to synthetic oils and lubricants can (and does) improve fuel economy (mpg).

VISCOSITY can increase Fuel Economy - a.k.a. MPG

Depending upon your driving habits, conditions, and climate ... switching viscosities can improve fuel economy also. I've observed a MPG increase when switching grades (5w-30 vs. 10w-40).

Tighter government regulations and increases in engine manufacturers’ demands are calling for more fuel efficient lubricants. Amsoil Synthetic Motor Oils reduce friction and drag better than petroleum oils, resulting in significant fuel economy increases.

In a 1.2 million mile demonstration, AMSOIL Lubricants showed a 4.5% increase in gas mileage. Other tests have shown increases of as much as 15% under certain weather and driving conditions.

Yet, because every vehicle is different, as are driving habits and conditions, it is difficult to accurately project an exact increase.

I seen on CNN last night they were saying they didn't expect gas prices to drop this fall much either. They had a guy on there that has an excellent track record at predicting gas prices and he said by next year we could see $3.50 to $4.00/gallon average.

I wish these so called experts would keep their mouths shut about the possibility of gas prices reaching $3 plus a gallon. The oil industry hears them telling us this and says "Oh well, the experts already told them it was going up, so we can raise it and it has already been justified and reported by the experts." Shut up experts, you're killing us.

I broke out my SuperChips tuner and set my truck back to the 87 octane setting because I can't afford the ungodly price of gas this morning. I hate to say it but once I pay off the last $1687 I owe on my truck and I start looking for a new one, I might consider one of these "others" that have a good MPG track record....maybe even a V-6 at that.

I really love my V-8 too.
