Seems like the only people getting rich are the government, and oil companies.
at least Dr. feelgood dose'nt believe in inflation. we're going to have to be high to pay gas prices soon!

I just got back from a road trip to Raleigh NC from Atlanta Ga. Filled up friday night for $2.10 in woodstock at kroger. Stopped in SC along the highway, filled up for $2.09. Filled up in Raleigh NC (not close to highway) for $2.25. Filled up again in SC for $2.09 (off highway) and filled up at Quick Trip in Woodstock GA for $2.09.

$2.39 2nd class up to $2.53 for shell v power and mobil (my choices). Add for some full service stations. Very reasonable compared to where i came from, (Brasil), where the economy is a lot slower and one liter of gas costs around $.70 to $.80 of a dollar.
$.70(cents) times 3.78 liters to make a gallon equals $2.70 dollars.
We have one of the least expensive gas in the world here in USA.

I just filled up for $1.95 at kroger. Stations by the highway are $2.00. Some places around are still as high as $2.21.

2.61 today for 91 octane. $50 to fill up again.
Damn maybe I should reprogram to the 87 setting.
I've been running the 91 setting and 91 octane planning to go to the races. Too bad races got canceled last time due to monsoon. Been fillin up with 91 in the mean time. Hope races are a go tomarrow.

OK, so our gas prices are going sky high because oil is selling at $63.00 a barrel now (thanks Dubya, Dick, House of Saud... but wait... that's another subject...) and the reason oil is selling so high is because of the tremendous pressure the wakening economies of China and India are putting on the existing resources, right? That's a big part of the story we're being fed, isn't it? Well if oil prices have doubled around the world, and our gas prices here in states have doubled, what have gas prices done in other parts of the world? Have they also doubled? I mean, you folks in Canada, have your gas prices doubled in the last 18 months? Anyone know what gas prices in Europe have done? I know their prices were ridiculous a few years ago to begin with. Have gas prices in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, doubled in the last 18 months? Enquiring minds want to know...

Amen,be thankful we still have a job. So what if the price of gas is $2.50 a gal. I enjoy driving my truck,and I'm going to keep driving it. If fuel encom. is the issue my a shoe-box and drive that. I'm not going to,even at 14mpg.

My solution to the high gas prices was to buy a cheap beater car with a 4 banger (35 MPG) and use it for a work car instead of driving my Dak everyday.
This way I can still enjoy driving my truck on weekends or whenever I need it. It helps to keep the miles down on my Dak also so it'll last longer (brakes, tires etc.)
As for the added car insurance cost, I keep minimum liability insurance on the car (not worth much anyhow) and I get a discount on my Dak now for driving it under 7k miles a year.
Works for me…

ontario canada 92 cents a litre x 3.78 litres = $3.47 a gallon stop complainig about 2.25-2.50 a gallon
