Message: Yes, it's a pitiful club, but there are many members. This subject has been talked about for a LONG time. The most informative thread is "water on passenger floorboard", or something close to that. The likely cause of the problem is AC evaporator condensation wicking back through the firewall from the drain tube, or another type of leak at the firewall exit. Some Dak owners have reported a split hose or seam at this location, I think one guy even said something about the under carpet insulation pinching the drain or something.
I also had an '02 Sport...nice truck, but I couldn't handle the perpetual duck pond inside the truck, and I wasn't going to keep yanking the seats and carpet out every 3 weeks, warranty or not. I finally got PO'd enough to trade the truck in on a new Tundra, now I'm a very happy man. I've heard tell that you can call Dodge customer service, and they're keeping track of these types of complaints, and may offer you some sort of extended warranty on the HVAC system or some other prize as a result. Good luck, I'm just enjoying not having to deal with it.
