Message: Never take your truck to a place like that. Never take anything to one of those places.
Well, you learned a valuable lesson and hope they can fix your truck.

Message: I was in the Navy (Retired now) my wife took our van to one of these quick lube places and they tride to take her for all they could but she had sence enough to say STOP. They tride to tell her that the tranny was getting ready to fall out and she needed to take it to this shop they know of. Well the rest of the story luckly was a cheep one for me. Had another friend go to one and when they came and told him they were done he paid them and tried to go home. Less than a mile down the road his oil light came on so he pulled over. He checked the oil level and there wasn't any in the engine. He walked back to the Grease Monkey (ripp-off artice) to tell them something was wrong. Guess what he found? an oil line going from the shop to his truck. My daughter's boyfriend whent to another Grease Monkey shop the other day and now he can't drive the car he has because they did something to the tranny and it makes a hell of a noise when he drives it. They say they didn't do anything to it. The bottom line is places like this don't have to have qualified people working there and they will hire ANYBODY off the street to work there.

Message: My sister-in-law took her car to one of those places to get her tires rotated. They rotated the tires but forgot to finish the job (hint: reinstall lug nuts is an important step in the process). So she is driving down I-240 and sees this tire go across the freeway into the oncoming traffic, luckily missing any traffic. She thinks, "Wow who is that poor fool without a tire?" At that point the front left of her car drops just about the height of a tire. She ends up putting a 1/2 mile (more or less) gash in the freeway the width of her front disk brake and turns the disk into a half disk. I have no idea how she kept the car going the same direction (maybe she is a better driver than I think). When she gets back to the place, she finds out the kid that did it has done this several times before and was warned that he 'could' get fired if he did it again.

Message: Here's my story. A few years back I had a 87 Trans Am GTA. I decide to take it to the local Grease monkey shop for a nice oil change. Everything seemed fine till I noticed the check engine light on and I looked down at the oil pressure dial to find there wasn't any. This was half way home. So I stop the car, get out and take a peek underneath to see oil running out from the oild filter....The Idiots at the grease monkey don't know how to screw in an oil filter properly. SO I take it back to the place bitch and complain about how they can't screw in an oil filter...well I got my filter put on properly my money back and tickets for 5 free oil changes which I sold to a friend for 20 bucks... Last time I ever took my car for drive through car service.
