Subject: Sqeaking front sway bar bushings?? IP: Logged
Message: At 15000 miles, both side of the front end began sqeaking when hit bumps (up and down motion). you could simulate the problem just by pushing up and down on the bumper. Dealer claimed to have replaced all 4 front end sway bar bushings which did solve the problem for 2 days. THe sqeaks are back. Any body else have this problem and a subsequent solution?

Message: Get a can of silicone spray at AutoZone and shoot the bushings (just a little goes a long way). They should stay quiet til the next time you drive thru some serious rain. Then you jsut shoot'em again. It worked on my lowered 92 with noisy poly-urethane bushings.

Message: Just wanted to say thanks Alex. I thought I was in for a long wait at the dealer to fix the "creaking" noise from my Dak. It was driving me nuts! Your silicone idea worked like a charm. If you are ever plan a trip to Charlotte NC, post it up. I owe you a beer.
