 Subject: trans shifting

I have a 95 4x4 318 automatic.When I start off the trans will shift into second gear ok but in third or fourth I have to let up on the gas like driving a stick.If I dont it will red line.Also the shift indecator is not right on the letter.The fluid is o.k.Any help would be welcomed.

I had the exact same problem on my truck, same truck too. I had the fluid and filter changed, and it cleared up the problem.
