Subject: Dakota prices.. IP: Logged
Message: Hello,
I am currently looking at new trucks. How much will a '01 Dakota Sport regular cab with the 4.7L V8/5spd/3.92 L/S cost? I've got my decision narrowed down to the dakota sport and a '01 Ranger Edge Flareside w/4.0L SOHC V6/5spd/3.55. I'm leaning toward the V8 Dakota.
Thanks in advance for the help..
Hopefully I can get the Dakota for under $20k

Message: For prices, check Edmunds.com
You can configure a truck, and they will show
you a price based on invoice and list.
Then check the rebates page to see what rebates
are currently available on the Dakota.

www.carsdirect.com
those are the 2 sites I use the most for my pricing needs =)
one of my buds was going to get a new 00 Sport RC 5spd 4.7 with the 3.55 open diff and notthing inside for about 15k, so getting one equiped shouldn't be too much more, especially if they still have the $2000 rebate

Great pricing tool that lets you configure a vehicle exactly the way you want, and gives the prices for dealer invoice and MSRP. It has a separate link that covers any rebates or finance deals. The only problem with it is that on some vehicles it won't list out the contents of each option package. For example, last time I checked it, Carpoint gave the contents of all option packages on the CC Dakota, but not on the RC. Don't ask me why.
