I looks like the QC has a lower front end, I noticed the same thing on a 2k3 2x4 RAM..... Thats a real disapointment, but then again it makes business since for them: most consumers will think it looks 'sporty' and most will never mind the reduced off road ability.

From what it appears like through the little bit of mesh on the headlights, looks like the same front-end styling of the Durango. Thought plans were to give it a more M80 looking front, looks like they opted to keep the Durango and Dakota similar again. Doesn't look bad, but hopefully we'll get to see it without all the cover-up soon.

These shots look to be for real. If you compare the pictures with the spyshots of the Durango on the Car and Driver website specially the wheels and the reflection of the lights validate their relationship.....

The padding is so you can't see what the truck will look like! I noticed the wheels look just like the Jeep Liberty wheels!

the padding is the latest in government safty testing. it'll be required on all vehicles by 2008. Dodge is just one step ahead this time.

I wish Chevy would catch up with the Government laws, their vehicles are so damn ugly, especially their crapalanche truck, that they need the padding to hide the fuglyness of them!

i just hope it doesn't get huge headlights and a 5 sq. foot grille like the new rams. still don't like them. loved the old new gen. dodges tho
maybe the padding is the "parking lot scratch protection" option.

Of course you can't see for sure, but looks to me that they are trying to copy the Ford/Chevy models that copied Dodge models in 1990's. Interesting concept: Dodge comes out with revolutionary body style, Chevy and Ford both make their own copies of Dodge body style, Dodge copies Chevy and Ford versions of their own design. WTF, my brain is going to explode.

Why doesn't Dodge offer a roll bar as a factory option anymore? Back in the late 70s/early 80s, all the Big 3 pickups could be ordered with roll bars.
