Subject: Intake or Headers?
IP: Logged

Message:
Ok i got a 1991 Dodge Dakota 5.2 V8. I just got flowmaster 40 series dual exhaust with 3 1/2 inch tips and i really like the outcome. I had to replace the cati convertor and i noticed a nice increase in pick up because the convertor was shot. Well i am now lookin to replace the manifold with headers or get an intake. I am wonderin which would addd better performance. And what brands i should get also. Just let me know.

if you don't mind the ghettoness, build your own intake and buy the headers too...you can make your air intake out of some ABS 3" pipe, a 3 inch coupler and a K&N filter for about 50 bucks...as for the headers, get some PPH headers...

i agree with gotanRT...with the headers anyways...PPH is the sh*t...however, dont be ghetto and make ur own intake...thats jus the wrong way to hook it up...i mean...it will work ok...but its better to get something finished off and show quality...i got a 360 intakez on mine powdercoated blue for 150 shipped...go to eastcoasttruckin.com to check em out...

intake system or manifold?
You could spend $50 and get 92-93 exhaust manifolds and then get your intake as well, i think the fit the premags, don't they guys?
They work ten times better than your manifolds but are very cheap and would probably fit you ypipe too.
