Message: Took truck to the dealer about the front end (mostly drivers side) squeaking. Dealer said there is no fix, but that its because I get dust underneath my truck and makes it squeak. Now, if I pressure wash underneath my truck on the drivers side, it goes away for about an hour or so, and its back. Any ideas?

Message: Yes, they are your sway bar bushings. the best you can do is clean them and keep them lubed up. As for replacing them they WILL need replacing after that and so on. Ihave been through 3 sets on mine in a years time.
It is hard to believe dodge would know about such a problem and have no permanent fix to it. Maybe its just me but going through a parking lot and sounding like a trampoline is not very appealing
Anybody is there a real good fix to this problem?????

Message: Mine started doing it soon after I added my Rancho suspension lift and after checking every nut/bolt in the front suspension I narrowed it down to the sway bar bushings. My truck sounds like it has been through the ringer and back when going over semi-rough terrain or turning.
I was hoping to find some replacement poly bushings but I know that is impossible since noone makes poly bushings for our 97+ Dak's even though they should since they have the worse short-life bushings of the 3 generations of Dakota's.
I have done the WD-40 trick and it lasts about a day, now it won't even work so they must be totally wasted.
How much are those bushings from a Dodge dealer? Mights well replace all four since I'll have it apart.
Flowmaster cat back, Volant Intake, Poweraid TB Spacer, Splitfire Plugs, full synthetic fluids 4 inch Rancho/3 inch body Lift, 315 70-17 on AE 219's, Rancho 9000x's Grizzly double/single rollbar with (6)Hella's, Manik Nerfs/Tailight Guards, Line-X, Hard Work & $$$$$$$$$$

Message: When it was cold this past winter mine sounded god awful. I had an appt. set up with the dealer by early spring but then I drove through a rainstorm and it warmed up some and they hav`nt done it since. When they do it again (and they will) I was thinking of taking them apart and cleaning and reinstalling with Permetex "right stuff" gasket maker. If this works I`ll be a hero on this board! (don`t hold your breath)

Message: Sway Bar Bushings.
I had the problem too at about 17000 miles. All the dealer did was pull them apart and lubed 'em up. That worked for about 5000 miles and it started all over again. Seems to be worse in winter. Hasn't squeaked this summer.
I'm thinking about some aftermarket replacements.
