i am wits end, here in n.y., it is apparently impossible to get a robert shaw or stant t-stat. they don't even list a part number for the 2001 4.7. can anyone please help with my dilema. ideas, web sites, anything. thanks

Why do you have to get a robert shaw? I just went to the local parts shop, looked up the factory replacement part # for the brand they supplied. The fact replacement was a 195'. I simply found a 160' that was the same size (I believe it was 52 mm). I wouldn't run a 160' in New York. The 180' should be perfect for you. My store brand "Heavy Duty" Tstat has had no problems and was only $4.99. Goodluck

i am not looking for a peticular brand, just a 180 degree one. i have went to several auto parts places here and none have a 180 degree of anykind. their parts books don't even list any?

180 deg.Stant,there heavy duty is Super Stant or Stat works fine. Starts to open at approx 178 deg and full open at 185,or at least mine did.
