Message: The first place I'd start would be the tubing itself. Measure it. Is it 3" or 2.5? Is it Mandrel Bent, compression bent or is it crinkled and wrinkled? Look at the muffler. Most manufacturers stamp their name somewhere. It may be on the top of the muffler.
If you have 3" mandrel bent pipe, you are in pretty good shape. If you don't like the sound of your muffler you can replace it but my guess is you won't notice too much of an improvement in performance.
