Just finished reading the Automotive News magazine and they have a special section of future chrysler products from 2004 to 2007. They had an article in there that included the dakota and said it would be all new debuting in 2005. Said it would feature a larger grill and hood line like the new ram. Also included all chrysler large and midsize cars are going back to rear wheel drive starting in 2004. The new Jeep grand cherokee also debuts in 2005.

I really like the way Chrysler is heading with most of new vehicles. I'm really looking forwrad to the rear wheel drive cars, especially when they put the hemi in one of them.

Yes I am too. They will be including the hemi in most of the new rear-wheel-drive cars.

Hope so. I also was reading there is now a recall for the upper ball joints on the durango. Do you think the dakota will be next?

you must be kidding. have you seen the new durango pics for the 2005. it's like a minivan with a ram front end. it looks nasty as hell. the srt version looks tolerable, but still bad. and people bash chevy's new front end.

yes i agree that the new durangos look like a Chevy avalanche threw up on a truck frame...i do like the idea of rear wheel drive cars though...I'm not looking forward to the body style change of the dakota, i like the way they look now...

I will agree with you on the new durango...I hate it. My sister thought it was a minivan and insisted it was. I do like the way the way chrysler is going with the cars.
