Subject: What's Sizzling? IP: Logged
Message: Well, I've had my dodge dakota sport for about 3 months. I have noticed after I turn off the engine there's a sizzling and sometimes popping under my truck. I'm not that mechanical if you can't tell but I was wondering what that was and if that was ok.
Thanks.

Message: That's normal. I read about in the owners manual.

Message: Sounds like your air conditioning is relaxing, mine does the same thing.

Message: It's likely one of two things:
1. your exhaust system cooling down. completely normal.
2. condensation from your a/c dripping down onto the hot exhaust system or the exhaust manifold heat shields. normal.
