Subject: 275/60-15 without fender flares?
IP: Logged

Message:
I need to replace the 255/65-15 set currently on my 2000 QC. I was considering going with a 275/60-15 set, but am concerned about the width since I do not have fender flares. Sounds like rubbing and the speedo being off isn't a problem. I just don't want something that will stick out too much. Money is tight (why I'm considering the 275s to begin with) so don't think adding the fender flares is an option. Opinions, options, would be appreciated. Thanks...

275/60/15 8.0 11.2 (Dunlap

I’m sure you could expect road debris flinging up so, you may want to look into some flares or splashguards

Thanks BlkDakDave, especially the reminder about flinging road debris up.

Anyone see any issues going with a 255/70-15 set? I know they're about an 1" bigger in diameter and my speedometer will be just a little slow (showing 60 but really going 62...), but will this cause any real problems? Any affect on gas mileage?

Thanks Again...
