Has anyone tried using 2 elec motors from a caravan's rear vent windows. To make our vent windows on ext cab dakotas open with a flick of a switch?

Those elec window motors really suck. we have a 95 caravan and have replaced both of them like 4 or 5 times. They always break. but it still would be a cool idea if they dont break!!

Another cool idea, that I havn't had a chance to look at seriously is, a power rear window, for those with the solid glass. Similiar to the Broncos, or K5 Blazers. Just a thought.
'01 Sport Auto 3.9, CC, 3923s, Intense Cold Intake, Dynomax SuperTurbo 17748, Wal-Mart special roll on bedliner, MOOG upper and lower ball joints, V8 TB, clear corners, gutt guard, tinted,blah blah...

the motors i was looking at were on 2000+ years they were elec motors, some of the other years looked like they were cable operated.

Hey dakruzr ...If you have any street rodders in your area check with them. Those guys are masters at doing things like this and also have a good knowledge of parts to use.

There are like 2 or 3 companies that make power rear windows for the dakota. One of them is a slider that moves side to side, and the others goes up and down like the blazers.

I asked John Mercedes about power window openers for the rear quarters once. I think he even hooked me up w/directions on how to do it. It was one of the guys he works with actually. Said he would sell me a kit for like $300..?... I just remember it being waaay too exp. for me anyway. It was basically the caravan window motors, and a wiring harness w/switch. Very easy to make. I'm just too lazy.
