When I had my alarm put in, I had them put door actuators in as well. I had these routed through a momentary switch (2 switches actually, one for on one for off) and shazam! I had power door locks.
As for how tough it is to perform the labor... oh well, maybe someone will answer that one for ya, since I just went ahead and paid someone else to do it.
