I have a question, I have a 2000 2wd sport model and I bought a set of upgrade(15x8) wheels that I want to put some 275/60/15's on. Do I have to worry about rubbing since the stock tire is only a 215/75/15? I'm also considering putting thr hotchkis springs all the way around next year, will these tires cause a problem then? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm trying the same thing. I have a 2000 Dakota CC 2WD 3.9L v6, and I am curious if anyone knows what biggest size tires i can put on without a lift and no rubbing (and any brand recommendations as well). I have talked to many tire places, and have heard wide range of different info. Wanted to know if anyone else has done this? Trying to get both wider and also higher ride height from the tires.
Also, if speedo and odometer affected, can it be reprogrammed or adjusted - if so by who? I talked to the dealer, and they didn't seem too sure that they could do it. Any help is appreciated.

The hotchkis spring set is supposed to be 2" in from and maybe 3" out back which still gives me plenty of ground clearance and better handling. From what i have found so far the tire is only about 1/2" taller, but I'm worried about the width rubbing inside on turns and bumps.

You can calculate your tire size changes with this spreadsheet:

I tried the link but it doesn't work, but if it is anything like the calculator on the DML I have a pretty good idea that the tires would fit with my current wheels, the problem I am worried about is that I am changing the wheels AND the tires, and I think the 15x8's have different backspacing which I'm not sure about, especially since I want to do the hotchkis suspension next year. I'm really looking to see if someone has done the same thing so there are no if's ands or buts. PLEASE HELP! I'm in a little hurry too since I have to order the tires (their not in stock) and the current tires are absolutely horrible in the rain, which of course we have been getting alot of lately.

Marc,

I have a 2000 QC 4x2. I put 275/60/15s on my truck a couple of months ago, and have had no problems with rubbing. I have the stock suspension with the tire and handling package.

Thanks dan that's what I was hoping to hear, now if someone has tried it with a lowered suspension I would like to hear from you as well. If it doesn't work with the lowered suspension then I'll just have to forget it and leave the stock height. can't afford to do it right now anyway, but the tires are a must. thanks for the help!
