Does anyone know how to remove the front brake calipers? Is it held by a clip or a couple of bolts? Appreciate any help you can offer.

bolts. I can't remember the size. When you put them back on, make sure they are really tight. They aren't something you want to vibrate loose and fall off on you.

Just did mine this weekend. IT takes a 7mm hex driver. and there is a spring clip on the out side. took me about 15 min per side to switch the pads.

dont tightin them to much you will crack the caliper you have to torke them to spec

That spring is interesting. How it holds everything in. Kinda neat idea. I feel like it's going to take my eye out though.
If you need the torque specs just ask.

Is a hex head the same as a Torx? Not too sure but I know my calipers took a Torx #45 bit. The caliper slide bolts are made of a ridiculously soft metal and will strip if you arent carefull.

Pretty sure hex is the same as Allen head, right?

yeah its like a allen bolt. Be careful how you insert the slide pins and how much you tighten them . i stripped one of the threaded holes on my dakota. I was able to tap it back in shape. Next time im installing time serts.
