i was looking a some 01 dak's at a dealership and i noticed that the front bumpers are now made out some type of plastic insted of metal. I guess with the less weight that's what makes the 4.7's seem so fast!! JK =)

Next thing you know, they'll start eliminating such frivolous accessories as inner front fenders, interior grab-handles, and carpeting... all in the name of cost-cutting.

Why - by the way - are ya looking at 2001's when ya got such a cool truck now?

P.S.....thanks for keeping me informed about the Bedrug - that's VERY cool. Remind me to snap some photos of your truck at the next meet, so's ya can post 'em. C-ya

Speaking of cost cutting, are the 2001 DAKs (QC) suppose to have undercoating in the rear fender wells...mine didn't, just a bunch of plastic, one side with paint overspray, the other side showing no paint (body color) where the other side had paint

Service Manager said what the heck and undercoated the fender wells during prep.
