Subject: Clear Headlights IP: Logged
Message: I recently bought a pair of clear headlights from procarparts. These lights came with the whole light assembly including the plastic housing that the lights screw into (minus the corners). I wanted to know how do I take out the old housing so I can install the new clear headlights. Thanks for the help.

Message: 1. Open hood.
2. Remove rubber on side of light.
3. Torx bit T-10--remove the corners.
4. Remove the three bolts, 3/8 inch I think.
5. Pull assembly out.
I have an alterior motive...if you want to get rid of your old driver's side assembly (light & bracket) drop me a line.

Message: fudgetke, thanks for the help. As for the original set of lights, I took out the torx screws because they were stripped and rusted. I had to cut into the housing where the torx screws were and replaced them with a slotted head using a nut so it would not slip out. I wouldn't want to sell it in its current condition. So, I would probably hold on to them...until I get a new truck.
