ok I have a Sir Michaels handle relocation kit and a weld on roll pan on my truck... everything was looking good till the other day I noticed a funny line up the center of the rollpan where the plate inset it... upon closer inspection it's cracked, right along the crease where the license plate inset mets up with the outter portion, not the inset side but on the visable edge... it's cracked all the way up and there are a few small cracks along the edge on the other side of the plate...

anyone else had any problems with their roll pans as far as cracking etc. Let me know... it's a bi*ch when it's welded to your truck...

I have a Sir Michaels that I installed on my 99 when it was new, the seams you are refering to come spot welded only and have to be welded complete. Maybe yours wasn't completly welded. (Did you have the install done?) Mine has never given me any problems, still looks great.

it was welded all the way down, had it installed by a very reputable shop in So. Cal... rather not mention them as this isn't their doing... it's an obivous failure of the welds...

I have one on my 96 dakota and i didnt have that problem. I bet that if you talk to the shop they wouldnt have a problem fixing it since they should have spotted the fucd up spot.
