I posted this on the Performance board but thought I
might get just as good responses here. If ya'll hate
cross-posters, I apologize in advance.
I'm considering getting an 89 or 90 Dakota, they both
have
around 150,000 miles and both seem mechanically sound
so far. I'm nowhere near educated enough about these
trucks to make this kind of decision. What I want to know
is, how long do these boys usually last? (With reasonable
routine maintenance as a given). I'm not going to soup it
up or deck it out; I want a truck to DRIVE, to get me from
point A to point B even though they happen to be several
thousand miles apart. And back again. Any help/advice
would be appreciated.
