I have previously read that there is a federally mandated 5 year warranty on airbag systems. My friend's airbag light is blinking and the dealer wants $$ to repair it. The car is in the shop right now but I can't seem to find any info to back up what I heard. Does anybody know if the 5 year warranty thing is true? Where can I get it in writing?
