Message: In my first show with my Dak, I took third place at the Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals in the All Dakota's Modified category where I was up against all slammed 2WD's with ghost flame and tribal flame paint jobs so I am glad I placed at all lol. There was one 4WD that was a Gen II that had some bolt-on parts and dual exhaust but he didn't even wash it, just parked it and then walked the show. He was one of several vehicle owners in the show that obviously found it cheaper to just enter their ride and have parking on the grounds while not caring about winning anything lol.
I really believe they need to seriously rethink their categories as I really should not have been up against magazine worthy 2WD Dak's but was pleasantly suprised that the crowd liked my Dak in that category enough to choose me on their ballots.
If the categories remain the same next year I'll prolly pass and just attend the All Truck Nat's in Carlisle since it wouldn't be fair for my Dak to be in the 97+ Dak 4WD category where many of them where mostly stock.
Oh, and Chris from DakotaUSA took 2nd place, must be 97+ Dak 2WD category since he wasn't in the same row as mine.
I got some great pics of both my wives and my Dak polished to the max inside and out as well as other sweet Dak's, Ram's and Old Mopar Muscle, I even detailed the frame with a lantern the night before the show on the showfield lol. It was a great time and enjoyed meeting some peeps I have corresponded with on these websites.

Message: Dam, I saw ur Dak then and the white convertible Dak too. You must not have walked around all the Dak's then cuz mine stuck out like a sore thumb in the category I was in and I even had my front license plate "2THEXTRM" on display in my engine bay since I don't use it normally lol.
I was in the next row towards the RT's, opposite side and third from the end parked next to a slammed Dak with a flame paint job and my wives Red RC 4x4 on 18's with a Street Scene grille and bumper cover was second from the end with the white Gen II CC next to hers on the end.

Message: My Feelings exactly They need to do something other than the honor system to get these vehicles in the right class. As I see it now you have two choices. Go and be honest with the same results or mod your truck out and lie about it and get in the no mod class an win something. It Is A Sad State of affairs that could become a really good one if they would ensure classes were classaes.I Heard many people complaining to others about this very thing!

Message: Their classes where tweaked as were the idiots running the registration tent and assigning classes improperly to the entrants for the fun field LOL. Either way had an awesome time, got to see some nice custom Chyrsler vehicles on the Fun Field not to mention the Vipers, Prowlers and muscle cars!
