Tonight as I was washing my new 03 Black Dakota, my wife remarked how I was obsessed with cleaning and shinning the nose of the truck. And after thinking for a while, she was right. I have the 4.7 CC with the stampede package. The nose of this thing is awesome looking. I have taken off the factory lettering and added my business decals. After a good waxing the black looks several inches deep I am told.
Surely I am not the only one with this obsession, am I?
Please respond so my wife doesn't think I'm a total nut!

Although it can take quite a bit of work to get there plus a lot of maintenance to keep it, black vehicles can get an amazingly deep shine. I used to own an 86 Fiero 2M6 SE that was religiously buffered 3 times a week with liquid crystal and it looked absolutely beautiful. When you looked at the body panels all you could see was the sky above it because it reflected so clearly.

I Zaino'd my silver truck awhile back and it looked really nice, but it just doesn't compare to black.

My wife thinks I go out and get my truck muddy and dirty just to clean it!
