Message: Anybody had or heard of this problem ? From a dead stop, hit the gas and rpm's normal but truck crawls and does not want to go. Towed to garage and after 10 attempts the next day they could not repeat the prob. truck ran great.Kept it overnite and the next day the prob started again. Garage cannot seem to pinpoint the cause, any suggestions.

Message: Have the same problem with my wife's '98 5.2 Durango. Has been happening for about a year. Same with dealer, could not replicate the problem. I have more details on what's happening. After stop and go driving (i.e. engine and tranny hot), as we approach a stop, we can feel the tranny "let go". Upon trying to pull out from the stop, it is in 3rd gear. We can manually shift to 2nd and pull out a little better, but manually shifting to 1st doesn't make a difference (still in 3rd). Once up to speed, shifts normally. I've changed the output speed sensor (on tranny), but that made no difference. I have no error codes, but suspect the governor valve or solenoid. We hope to get it into the dealer in a few weeks for them to try again.
