Message: On a new truck that I plan on doing mods to, would it be better for me to get a long warranty for obvious reasons or a short warranty so I could do any mod I want and not void the warranty? Also, if something does go wrong and I do simple things like change my own oil, how can I prove that I kept up the maintanance on the truck or something I did didnt "break" the truck or even that the regular maintance was even done? In other word, besides recipts, how can I prove any maintanance was done on the truck if I do it myself?

Message: Ask the dealer. The dealer I used to deal with (when I lived in the US) didn't ask for any kind of records. Of course, I never had any major repair work needed.
