Subject: Weird Noise from Dak IP: Logged
Message: My Dak is making a roaring noise when I hit 30 mph or higher. It started about a week ago. I figure it could be the wheel bearings, the drive shaft or the rear gears. I know its not the clutch fan or transmission or tires. When I turn the truck from side to side the noise stops when I turn left and it continues when I turn right. COuld that be the wheel bearings? Any suggestions? Thanks for everything.

Message: My 99 CC was hit down the drivers side which included clipping the front wheel. The body shop determined that the wheel bearings were fine. After I got it back I could hear a low howl, like tire noise(all tires were replaced also). Thing is I started noticing that the noise went away whenever I was going around a right hand corner. My guess is that the wheel bearing was loading up on the corners and quieting down. Can't say for sure because I traded it for an 03 QC. Hope this helps.
