Message: i recently changed my fluid and filter in my trans. 98 cc 4x4 w/5.2 i noticed some black sludge with a tint of bronze or brass, was wondering if this is normal or is it like a chevy and a bushing is getting sheared. also when i floor my truck the rpm's jump almost to redline and the transmission does not lock up until i let off the gas, just sits and revs. any ideas would help. thanks

Message: Funny that you mention that. Do you have a check engine light on right now? I got one last week and took it in, because my truck was doing the same thing where you would floor it and nothing would happen til you started letting off of the gas. Anyways, the problem was a "speed sensor in the transmission" got it replaced and it runs beautiful now. Hope that helps...
Jason (same truck as you btw, except 99)
