Message: I have a 2002 Dakota and changed out the stock 9007 light bulbs for some Sylvania Silverstars. While doing this, I stripped out the adjustment/alignment (torx) screws that hold the light assembly. I wanted to know how I could take those stubborn torx screws out.
Thanks in advance

Message: You can not remove the alignment screws they are molded into the housing. Now if you are talking about the screw that holds the corner light on take a small dril bit and drill into the head and then pull it out and buy some new screws (thats what i did)

Message: Thanks for the info DakUSA. I somehow removed the alignment screws for the left headlight assembly. I have replaced those alignment (torx) screws with some 1/4 - 2 1/2" screws and they seem to work and adjust the beam properly. For some reason, I am having trouble with the right headlight. I have seen items like the "Drill-out/Screw-out" from Sears and a set of Pliers that grab and pull out stripped screws. I'm a little skeptical about those items. I do not have any other choice and I'm running out of time. My vehicle inspection is comig up soon. The dealer is asking for $360 + labor for a new headlight assembly that includes the alignment screws. You cannot buy these screws by itself.

Message: You could also always but the clear euro lights / corners or maybe get someoen to sell their old light for a bargain.. These go off on Ebay all the time for under $100 for the assembly.
