Subject: M1 install on 2003? IP: Logged
Message: I just recieved my M1 intake and before installing have a few questions. Will the timing belt work with the offset A/C brackets? This is particularily inport to me since I have a Vortech supercharger and the belt size is not stock (and the size is unknown).
Also, can I reuse the existing water neck? These two issues were unclear in the instructions and I have seen conflicting info posted.
Thanks,
Scott

Message: Which intake did you buy, the 2bbl. or the 4bbl.? If you have the 4bbl. version you need the smaller idler pulley from Randy Pyle and a water neck from a LA motor. If you have the 2bbl. everything is a direct bolt-on. You can find good instructions for the 2bbl. here http://www.madrt.com/m1install.html and if you have the 4bbl. here http://www.steigerperformance.com/ under product documentation MPI intake install guide.
