Subject: Stock Susp. towing question IP: Logged
Message: Gonna help my brother move from Dallas to Houston sometime in August (the cooler part of the year). Max I might pull is a 2 bedroom U-Haul, probably not fully loaded. I have a 2002 QC with the 4.7, auto, 3:55, open diff. Do not have the towing package, but the sticker says I have the heavy duty suspension. I have already installed a class 3 receiver/hitch. I've done some research, but most posts talk about towing boats and car trailers. This would be one of the few times I might tow something. Do I need to do something temporary, like helper springs, etc? Thanks.

Message: You may want to look into the Roadmaster Active Suspension System. I installed the system recently and am very happy with the results. By combining the Roadmaster Active Suspension with rear leaf spring suspension, together they add critical strength without stiffness, vastly improving vehicle stability and load handling ability while at the same time enhancing control and performance. Check out this site for full details.
