Message: 118 = Coolant temperature sensor voltage too high.
The temp. gauge on the dash is stuck at 130. Basically doesnt work. I put it a new temp sensor and still same problem. I reset the computer and that dont work.
The check engine light comes on about 3-4 sec after start up. This just happened after I put in some Redline Watter Wetter and MSD Tach Adapter ( 8910 ). I have since put it back to the stock ignition and still get the code.
Running out of ideas. Anybody know what to do ? I aint taking it to the dealership. They wouldnt touch it anyways if they opened the hood.
Thx.

Message: you know there are 2 sensors for the coolant, 1 for the gage and 1 for the PCM if you look at the t-stat neck you will see 1 on the left side and 1 on the right, 1 has 1 wire on it and the other has 2or3

Message: Didnt see one on the T -stat neck. Theres a pic of one in my Haynes manual but dont have one on my truck. Just the one sensor behind the alternator on the front left corner of the intake manifold.
Could the other one you talk about be somewhere else ? I`ll check again.
thx
