need help fast my 2001 quad cab dakota 4/4 top ball joint are bad where can i find these parts -anyone got any parts numbers -my parts guy said he can get moogs for 145.00 thats two high is there any other years that will fit-thanks -anyone-anyone

This is what I put on my 2000 Club cab and will work.
Here is the video I made for the installation of the uppers.

Please note on the video. These were installed after the Rancho lift was put on so things may look different. Also I did not show DJ drilling the holes to 3/8" on the new BJ's. The rivets that are removed are 3/8's and the BJ's hole are 5/16 so they need to be enlarge before you install them and you will also have to pick up some 3/8" grade 8 bolts washers and nuts. It took DJ less than 2 hours to do this.

This information gleened from this site, these should work.
Ball Joints
Part numbers are upper - 7242 & lower - 7267 for 4X4.
(For 1999 and 2000, should be the same for 2001)
Moog upper# for 2wd and 4x4 is: k7242
Moog lower on 4x4 is k7267
(Order for a 99 model, these are the same.)

hey forexfour, great vid! kinda fast, but pretty much shows it all. maybe consider some narration, although the music ain't bad. was that 2 hours per side? upper and lower? or all together?

We only did the uppers and 2 hours for both sides.
I cut time out so it would not be so long to download. But it covers pretty much everything except the enlarging of the MOOG mounting holes to 3/8" from 5/16.
Have not had to touch the lowers yet.
