will a Dakota extended cab carry without causing handling problems. I need to pickup a piece of machinery 1400 miles distant and would like to carry it in the pickup bed. The part weighs approximately 800 pounds and is one piece.
Has anyone had experience hauling this weight for any distance??
The tires are the tires that came on the truck and regular passenger tires. According to the GVWR it should be just under the limit after adding pasenger and added baggage weight but first hand information from someone who has carried this weight for an extended distance will be helpful.
The Dakota is an extended cab with a V6, auto, air.
