Subject: Brake Rattle after new Rotors IP: Logged
Message: After having my front rotors replaced I now hear a rattle coming from the front wheels when going over a rough road, When going over the same rough road with the brakes on I do not hear it, Had the truck back to the garage who replaced the rotors watched him check everything he did, No signs of anything loose. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have a 2001 4x4 extended cab.
Thanks

Message: Maybe he slightly bent a backing plate and it taps when on rough surfaces. Thats a pain in the arse to figure out sometimes but very easy to cure.

Message: sounds to me like you are missing a clip. when the rotors were replaced and he had the caliper off one of the pads could have fell out along with a clip.
