Subject: Brake warning light on heavy braking IP: Logged
Message: My Brake and Anti Lock brake lights come on when I really
get on the brakes. That's the only time they come on. In
normal driving, nothing, but if I really slam on the brakes,
they light up every time...
What's up?

Message: Depending on what kind of vehicle, it could be an indication of the vehicle's use of the antilock braking system. Some systems will turn on those lamps during ABS actuation.

Message: your pads are worn so badly that the fluid in the reservoir is low, causing the brake light to come on. Dont add more fluid, change your pads.

Message: I second low fluid. It happened to me just after I swapped pads and rotors. One of the banjo bolts was a bit loose and I lost too much fluid.

Message: I checked the fluid...front resevoir a little (1/4 inch) low. Just changed the pads...I'll try adding some fluid and see if that helps...
