Message: Has anyone had a u-joint go bad yet. This is the first one I've ever had to replace, although all my other cars had grease fittings.
The rear joint on the rear driveshaft went at 32K on my 2000 4X4. Noticed a slight shudder when starting out, then a loud squeek developed.
Had to cut two of the bearing caps off with a Dremel tool to get them out of the yoke. What a pain in the butt for the cost of a couple 50 cent grease fittings.
