Subject: No Voltage to Fuel Pump
IP: Logged

Message:
My 97 has been in the body shop for about 3 weeks now. A week ago I started taking the dash cover off. I disconnected the Negative Battery Cable and after removing some screws I unplugged the Passenger Airbag Harness. Then I was stopped by the one of the guys who said I needed to move the truck. So to be safe I plugged the airbag back in, then reconnected the battery cable. I went to start the truck and It would only Idle. Then it wouldn't run at all. I did some troubleshooting, and by unplugging the harness at the fuel pump I discovered I was not getting any voltage. I then checked the fuses and all checked out fine, and swapped the relay with the automatic shutdown relay because they work the same way.
The truck was running fine right before I started taking the dash pad out. Now I cannot figure out why I am not getting any voltage to the fuel pump. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If worst comes to worst I will hot wire the fuel pump to get it out of the shop, but I really don't want to go that route.
