Message: Installed my bed xtender last night, and have to say that it went in as easy as promised. Fits right, instructions clear (pretty easy project), and works great. Ordered from autoaccessory people, and it arrived early! Shipped straight from Steel Horse, which helps. If you're thinking of getting one, it is a nice addition, and comes right out when you don't need it. I don't work for them, just happy with product, price, and delivery. Wish they were all this easy,

Message: No doubt. Every inch of additional space in a quad cab box is crucial ... too bad they don't make a tailgate extender ... hehehe.
Guess I'm stuck with a piece o' plywood to park the bike on.

Message: Blizzard, what kind of bike are you putting out back? My KX250 fits with the tailgate down. The edge of the rear tire hangs about 1-2 inches past the edge of the tailgate. As a matter of fact I have a bed extender from my F150 that will fit around the back with a little modification. When I'm done I'll take a photo for you.

Message: I've got a Kawasaki KLR650. It would have been a tight fit even before I put the rolltop cover on. Now I'm pretty sure I'll have to put a piece of hefty plywood in the back to extend the bed a little bit when I haul the bike around. Doesn't happen that often ... usually just ride it to where I'm going! hehehe

Message: You know, I haven't put the bike in the back yet (Kawi klx300r). Hope the bed xtender clears the wheel. Yikes! Guess I should check that before my ride this weekend.

Message: You could probably make your own out of muffler tubeing low carbon steel or stainless your choice. I have been thinking about makeing one with a pipe bender and stainless steel.

Message: I have a Bed X-Tender in my Dakota Quad that I use to haul my YZ426. I want to load it straight on and use the extender, but its a little too short. It will work if I can get the extender to go all the way out to the end of the gate (it current is about 3" to 4" from the end of the gate), but I will have to get/make an extension for the mounting bracket to make this possible. Anyone tried doing this????
