 Subject: Avg Life of Stock Wranglers

So far, I've gotten 39,000 mi from the stock Wranglers that came on my 2001 QC 4x4 Sport, and the wear bars aren't even noticable yet. Only rotated once at 8K miles. Is this typical wear, or is it thanks to the balanced weight distribution of the Quad Cabs? Any thoughts?

My originals lasted 8k miles w/rotation every 5k haha. Of course I smoked 'em often.

Same truck, 38K miles, and same experience. I'm thinking I may get another 7-10K miles out of them.

ive got 55000 on my stock good years, probably got 5 or 10 left. Cant wait till they are finito, becuase they suck in the rain and always have.

The Wifey has 28K on her 2002 Durango, and it's about time to replace. They aren't down to the steel belts, but are fairly worn.
These tires have a tendency, at least on the Durango to wear more on the outside of the tire, because of the tread pattern. They have been a good set of tires, but I believe I will be replacing them in the next 5,000 miles.
The 215-75-15 Wranglers that came on my Dakota lasted 3,000 miles. The first set of 275-60-15's lasted about 12,000 miles, and I'm working pretty hard on the 275-60-15 Firestone Firehawk SS20's that are on now. They currently have about 15,000 miles on them.

I dumped mine after only 22,000km ( about 15,000 mi).
There inability to grip when wet was scary.
Spinning when leaving intersections is bad enough but
fishtailing during lane changes on the highway when the snow was melting and slushy ,
that's unforgivable.
Damn near put my Dak QC sideways at 65mph once.
The next day I up-sized with Bridgestone Deuler AT Revo's.
No regrets!!!!!!

had wranglers on my 87 Comanche pickup I bought new and only got 25000 miles out of them before they were almost bald. I swore I would never buy wranglers again. Shocker, my new Dak came stock with the wrangler rt/s and I was really skeptical. Gotta say, goodyear has definetly turned them around, 65000 miles on them right now and I won't be surprised if I get at least a total of 80000 miles on them b/4 I have to replace. They have been rotated every 6000-7000 miles. I also don't lite 'em up off stop lights and some slippage does occur in the rain from a stop but knowing that it could happen(wierd how no weight in the back of a pickup helps that happen??!!!!) I just try to be more careful. Sorry to say but I can't knock the wranglers anymore.
2002 QC 4x4 Sport Plus, 4.7L, auto, Patriot Blue, Tire & Handling group,
Heavy Duty Service group, Leer cap w/out windows, Mopar Step bars and roof rack, Rhino liner in bed and on step bars, Pace Edwards Power Tailgate lock

Please inform me, Hammerdak, when you are on the road in my area. I would prefer not to be there at the same time as someone who chooses to drive 65mph in ANY vehicle when on slushy roads.
